Frequently Asked Questions

Do you manufacture in Australia?

No, our manufacturing is based in Da Nang, Vietnam, where we own and operate our own ethically run production facility.

While we’re proudly Australian-owned and designed, the reality is that Australia no longer has the infrastructure, skilled workforce, or supply chain needed to support large-scale, high-quality manufacturing in the bags and apparel space. The cut-and-sew industry here has been in decline for decades, and with limited access to raw materials, specialist machinery, and experienced technicians, producing in Australia is simply not viable — either economically or practically — for the type of work we do.

By building our own factory in Vietnam, we’ve created a solution that gives our clients the best of both worlds: Australian-led design and business practices, paired with the scale, skill, and efficiency of an experienced, well-equipped production team. Our setup allows us to deliver exceptional quality, with full transparency and control — all without the compromises that come from trying to force local manufacturing into a system that no longer supports it.

Will tariffs affect my ability to sell to the US?

In April 2025, The US entered a trade war with China and also threatened to impose harsh tariffs on Vietnam and other Asian countries. As of the time of writing this, products made in China are indeed heavily taxed (~135%) on entry to the USA but penalties to Vietnam have been limited to around 25% tariff. As we manufacture in Vietnam, this is good news for producers who want to maintain business ties with US customers.

Do you have White Label designs I can start with?

Yes, we do. Jubilee Street Studio offers a curated selection of white label designs across bags, soft accessories, and apparel — all ready to be customised and branded as your own. These are professionally developed products that have already been tested for functionality, durability, and manufacturability. Check out our catalogue here.

Starting with a white label design is a smart way to get to market faster and reduce development costs. You can customise key elements like materials, colours, hardware, and logo placement to make the product reflect your brand — without having to build it from scratch.

We’re constantly growing our catalogue and collaborating with designers to bring in fresh ideas. If you’re looking for a great product foundation with room to make it your own, our white label range is a great place to start.

Do you have minimum order requirements?

Yes, we do — but we keep them as low as possible to stay accessible, especially for smaller brands.

Minimum order quantities (MOQs) exist because manufacturing involves setup time, material sourcing, and labour planning. Producing in very small volumes drives the unit price up significantly and can lead to inefficient use of resources. By setting reasonable MOQs, we can ensure a balance between affordability, quality, and production efficiency.

At Jubilee Street Studio, our general MOQ starts at 50 units per style, but this can vary depending on the complexity of the product. It’s worth noting that certain materials — especially custom fabrics, hardware, or trims — come with their own supplier MOQs. In those cases, the full material order needs to be covered, even if your final product quantity is lower.

We’ll always be upfront about where these costs come in, and we’ll work with you to find solutions that fit your budget and your brand stage. Whether that means choosing materials with smaller supply MOQs or adjusting your design slightly, we’re here to help you get started the smart way.

What if I don't have a fully explored design?

That’s totally fine — in fact, that’s exactly where we come in.

You don’t need a finalised design to get started with us. Whether you’ve got a rough sketch, a Pinterest board, or just a clear vision in your head, we’ll help you turn that into a functional, manufacturable product. Our process is built to support you from the earliest stage — from clarifying your idea and refining your concept, to material selection, features, and technical specs.

We’ll start with a conversation to understand what you’re trying to create — your brand vibe, your product’s purpose, and who it’s for. From there, our in-house product designers and technical team will help shape the idea into a working design and eventually a production-ready sample.

You don’t need to be a designer. You just need the idea — we’ll help with the rest.

Why do I need your help? Isn’t it cheaper to go it alone?

On paper? Maybe. In reality? It’s a gamble — and one that rarely pays off for small brands.

Manufacturing in Asia is a massive, complex market. There are great factories out there… but it’s also a place where small fish get eaten. Miscommunication, broken promises, hidden costs, and inconsistent quality are all common when you go it alone — especially if you’re not on the ground or don’t speak the language.

That’s where we come in. We’re not a sourcing agent or a middleman. We are the manufacturer — we own and operate our own ethically run factory in Vietnam, and we’re based right here in Australia. That means you get direct access to your production team, with the added protection of Australian consumer laws and business standards.

But we’re more than just a factory. We understand product design, ecommerce, logistics, marketing, and the business of building brands — because we’ve done it ourselves with Jack Stillman. We’re here to offer you real guidance, not just a price per unit. And most importantly, we work on the rule that the better you do, the better we do. We’re not interested in one-off gigs. We’re building long-term partnerships.

So yeah — you could go it alone. But with us, you won’t have to learn every mistake the hard way.

Can I visit your factory?

Yes! We absolutely welcome client visits to our factory in Da Nang, Vietnam.

We believe in full transparency, and seeing where and how your products are made is often the best way to build trust and confidence. You’ll get to meet the team, walk through the workshop, and experience firsthand how we bring ideas to life.

If you’re planning a visit, we’ll also help you make the most of your time in Da Nang. We’ll provide tips on where to stay, what to eat, and what to see — whether you’re here strictly for business or want to mix in a bit of travel while you’re at it. From airport advice to must-try street food, we’ve got you covered.

Just give us a heads-up in advance so we can prepare and make your visit worthwhile.
