From Ponchos to Power Plays: How We Elevated Andor Season 2 Promo Kits

From Ponchos to Power Plays: How We Elevated Andor Season 2 Promo Kits

Back in March 2025, the Jack Stillman (our sister company) inbox lit up with a message from The Syndicate—a slick New York–based marketing outfit that specialises in pushing entertainment projects to the next level. Their client? Lucasfilm/Disney’s Andor Season 2. Their ask? A “watch box” promo kit built around our Jack Stillman Ranger waxed-canvas poncho. Thirty units to start—sent to influencers worldwide to stoke hype for the show.

We loved the base idea. Ranger ponchos already fit the Andor vibe: rugged, tactile, a little mysterious. But we saw an opportunity to go further. Instead of just slapping a logo on the outside of a standard envelope full of paper swag, why not build a custom mailer bag—one that looks and feels like it belongs in the Star Wars universe?

Level-Up #1: Embossed-leather logo

First, we suggested embossing the Andor Season 2 logo in leather—mirroring the Jack Stillman badge on the poncho. We mocked it up digitally, showing how the rich leather grain and subtle emboss would pop against the deep olive canvas. The Syndicate loved it; Lucasfilm’s marketers were thrilled. Suddenly, the poncho wasn’t just merch—it was a bespoke collectible. We also developed satin Disney/Star Wars brand tags for inside the garment.

Level-Up #2: From envelope to canvas mailer

Next, we learned the kit would include posters (with hidden messages revealed by black-light torches), stickers, and the torch itself—all stuffed into a paper envelope. We pitched an 16-oz canvas mailer bag instead. Our sample bag held the poncho flat, stashed posters in a rear pocket, stickers and papers in a front pouch, and even featured a dedicated holster for the black-light torch.

Because we’re movie nuts ourselves, we brainstormed thematic touches: should it feel Imperial—sleek, black, authoritarian? Or Rebel—earthy, rugged, hopeful? We landed on a rebel aesthetic: olive green canvas in Rebel colours, a cotton-webbing handle with leather grip, a bandolier-style strap across the flap and the Jack Stillman S40 shoulder sling. The Andor, Star Wars and Disney logo stitched front-and-center sealed the deal.

Level-Up #3: The wax-seal moment

To top it off, we wrapped each poncho in brown kraft paper, tied it in string, and pressed a real wax seal stamped with the Andor emblem. It read like a secret transmission from the Rebellion—or a secure Imperial dispatch, depending on your perspective. Either way, unboxing it felt like an event.

Result: A win-win for everyone

Yes, this custom mailer cost more than a paper envelope. But once Lucasfilm saw the mock-ups and held the sample, they bumped up the order: fifty ponchos, plus the mailer bags—adding US $5,000 in project value. For Jack Stillman, it was a premium-margin sale and a marketing boon. For Jubilee Street Studio, it was proof that we don’t just manufacture bags—we engineer experiences.

We delivered on time, shipped globally, and within days the unboxing pics blew up on Instagram, TikTok, and beyond. Influencers raved about the craftsmanship; fans loved the authenticity; The Syndicate couldn’t stop thanking us. And the marketers at Lucasfilm? They got exactly the kind of buzz they paid for.

Why this matters for you

This project is more than a trophy client name. It’s a blueprint for how Jubilee Street Studio partners with agencies and brands to transform a simple promo into a memorable adventure. We combine:
